Michael Finnissy and Helmut Zapf in conversation with Keith Potter:
Keith Potter has conducted research and published articles on may contemporary composers, with a particular emphasis on British and American work. He has also written reviews for many magazines, journals and newspapers. He was the co-founder and, for seventeen years, Chief Editor of Contact: a Journal of Contemporary Music, and for ten years a regular music critic on The Independent daily newspaper. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Music at Goldsmiths College, London.

Dr. Michael Tucker has worked extensively in the field of Norwegian contemporary culture, including painting and poetry, and for many years has written about Norwegian new music and jazz. He is a regular contributor to Jazz Journal and is the author of Jan Garbarek: Deep Song (Eastnote/University of Hull Press, 1998, Italian edition 2005). He was Professor of Poetics at the University of Brighton until his retirement in 2012, and in the same year he was made a Knight:1st Class of The Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, for “outstanding service in the interest of Norway”.

Tim Rutherford-Johnson on contemporary music in Switzerland
Tim Rutherford-Johnson has written about contemporary music on his blog, The Rambler, since 2003. He also writes regularly for the Guardian, Tempo, New Music Box, the BBC, Barbican Centre and others. He co-edited the sixth edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Music, which was published in September. He tweets as @moderncomp.
